This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses Proxare proxies. We enforce it because misuse harms other people, and because one customer's abuse can get a whole network shut down for everyone else.
What the Services are for
Lawful uses such as collecting publicly available web data, price and availability monitoring, search engine and ad verification, brand protection, testing your own websites and applications from other locations, and managing accounts you are authorised to operate.
What you must not do
You must not use the Services, or allow anyone else to use them, to:
- break any law or regulation that applies to you or to the systems you access;
- commit or assist fraud, including payment or card fraud, account takeover, credential stuffing, fake account creation at scale for fraudulent ends, or ad and click fraud;
- gain or attempt unauthorised access to any system, network, account or data, or scan for or exploit vulnerabilities without the owner's permission;
- launch or take part in denial-of-service attacks, or send traffic intended to disrupt a service;
- send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages, or carry out phishing;
- distribute malware, ransomware or other harmful code;
- access, store or share child sexual abuse material or any other illegal content;
- harass, stalk, threaten or dox anyone;
- collect or process personal data in violation of privacy or data-protection law;
- infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;
- access government, financial, healthcare or critical-infrastructure systems without authorisation;
- evade a ban, court order or legal restriction, or violate export-control or sanctions law;
- resell or share your access with others without our written consent;
- interfere with the Services, bypass usage limits, or attempt to identify or contact the people whose connections form part of a residential network.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the proxies, for the requests you send and for the data you collect. A proxy changes where your traffic appears to come from. It does not change what you are permitted to do. Keep your request rates reasonable so that you do not degrade the websites you access.
Checks and enforcement
We may ask what you intend to use the Services for, request identity or business verification, and block specific websites, protocols or ports. We and our providers may monitor traffic metadata (for example volume, destinations and timestamps) to detect abuse. If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may limit, suspend or terminate access immediately and without refund, and we may report unlawful activity to law enforcement and cooperate with lawful requests.
Reporting abuse
If you believe a Proxare IP address is being used for abuse, write to abuse@proxare.com with the IP address, date, time and time zone, and a description or logs of the activity. We review every report.
